Bio
Arturo performed professionally with Tania Perez-Salas Compañía de Danza and performed in numerous international dance festivals such as, Fall For Dance at City Center in NY, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the Galway Arts Festival in Ireland, Oriente Occidente festival in Italy and the Biennale of Art in France.
Arturo’s choreography has premiered in Mexico, Washington DC, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Chicago, and Virginia. Arturo was commissioned by The Kennedy Center to premier work for the Millennium Stage as the 2014 recipient of Kennedy Center’s Local Dance Commissioning Project.

Jacob’s Pillow
Arturo Garcia’s work “Here and Now” performed on the Henry J. Leir stage as a part of the festival’s Inside/Out series. This space is an outdoor stage with a panoramic view of the Berkshire Hills. The stage sets a unique and beautiful atmosphere with the natural sunlight coming through the canopy of trees draped over the space. were transformed through the natural elements of the space and the inspiring backdrop.
The Reach at The Kennedy Center
The REACH is the first expansion at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in its 48-year history. Designed by preeminent architect Steven Holl The Reach is a home for non-traditional programming with an emphasis on active participation and access, the open, informal spaces.
